That's the low for tonight. That translates to -18C. Add the wind chill and we're talking about -8F or -22C. For Virginia, which is a "southern" state (although it's really the mid-Atlantic), it's a mite chilly.

I'm reconsidering walking to the gym tomorrow morning.

I'll say - that's almost unheard of in Virginia. We spent a lot of Xmas holidays outside in just a long-sleeved T-shirt in high school. Stay warm!!

I know that it got down to 1 here in Frederick. at least my thermometer said it did. It may have dipped a little bit lower last night. But the winds are the killer. Bundle up.

We were at about twenty below with the wind chill today. Blah!!!! Makes me glad I learned how to knit all those socks.

Huh. So you wouldn't want to know about our high today of 71 degrees, eh?

Sorry that winter has smacked y'all in the back. Try to stay warm and knit.

I don't live much farther north than you, and it is just as cold. (In fact, as I scrolled down the page, I saw your parents were married in Baltimore! Belated congrats to them!)

One amusing thing about it being this cold is my coworker from Jamaica. Now, she immigrated to the US with her mother when she was 12, and moved to NYC. However she is now 30, and it is hilarious that she was complaining about the cold when it was 60! Now it is even funnier to see her wrapped up like a big Stay-puff marshmallow.
